Hunan Songdan Chinese Character Art Museum is a Chinese character art themed museum approved by the National Cutural Heritage Administration, managed by the Hunan Provincial Cultural Heritage Bureau and registered by the Hunan Provincial Department of Civil Affairs. It is a public service platform for the world to understand Chinese character art and appreciate Chinese culture by integrating education, research, exhibition, exchange, collection and service. The museum officially opened to the public for free in August 2018, always prioritizing social benefits. It receives more than 340 visitors per day and plants the seeds of love for China's excellent traditional culture for over 100000 people every year with just one word. Among them, the "One Character Makes You Fall in Love with China" Chinese character art experience activity was provided to foreign friends from 89 countries, Chinese youth from more than 20 countries, over 400 primary and secondary schools and kindergartens, more than 200 enterprises and institutions, as well as Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan compatriots' groups. We have achieved the goal of using words to correct people, using art to inspire people, using art education to educate people, and using culture to educate people。

Song Dan, the founder of the first Chinese character art museum in China, is a member of the China Zhi Gong Party, the first concentric figure of Changsha City, a member of the 70 year and 70 person committees, a member of the Hundred Talents Committee, a member of the Hunan Province Literature and Art 300 Talents Committee, a national member of the China Design Committee, a pioneer figure in China's design industry for 30 years, a visiting professor at Central South University of Economics and Law, a visiting professor at the School of Design and Art of Shaanxi University of Science and Technology, the vice president of the American Calligraphy and Painting Art Research Institute, the vice president of Changsha Zhi Gong Calligraphy and Painting Academy, a standing committee member of the 9th Hunan Youth Federation, and the vice chairman of the 5th Hunan Youth Calligraphers Association. For over 20 years, he has been dedicated to the research and promotion of Chinese character art, and his works have won the highest design award in China for 16 years. His innovative achievements have been featured in special reports by hundreds of domestic and foreign media outlets。
